Families with Children from China - Northern California is an international network of families who have adopted, are waiting to adopt, or are considering adopting a child from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Formerly the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter, we have expanded throughout Northern California. We are an all-volunteer, nonprofit public benefit corporation with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the IRS. We have many regional groups in Northern California, throughout the greater Bay Area, Sacramento/Sierra/Foothills, Chico/North Sacramento Valley, Fresno, and the Central Coast. Please feel free to contact us, or join our organization by selecting "Join Us" in the menu above.
To renew an existing membership, log in and click "View Profile" in the upper right corner of the screen.
Please note: We communicate with members primarily through our Yahoo! newsgroup (e-mail list). To be added to the list, visit this page and click the purple "+ Join Group" button, or send a note to "firstname.lastname@example.org".
Regional e-lists are also a great way to get in touch with other adoptive families in your area; click on a region to be taken to the page.

FCC Northern California provides local and regional networks of support for families who have adopted from China, and is a source of information for prospective adoptive parents. Membership fees are tax deductible.
We sponsor many events throughout the year, including playgroups, get-togethers, holiday celebrations for children and families, Chinese culture and language groups, parents' nights out for informal or panel discussions of many issues, forums for waiting and prospective parents to meet and ask questions, and a growing list of other activities - all organized by parent volunteers. Our network of families can provide links to information about local services and resources. We strongly encourage families to connect with their local Chinese-American communities and the greater adoption community. We actively support and cosponsor events with community organizations focusing on adoption, cultural, and educational opportunities. Selected FCC-Northern California events and activities raise donations for charitable organizations with a demonstrated track record of assisting children in Chinese orphanages.
